Sunday Info
Though church is much more than a building or a meeting that happens on Sunday, we believe there is something special about gathering together as a large group to encourage one another as we celebrate Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings we gather together to receive spiritual teaching, celebrate through song and to regularly remember Christ’s sacrifice through communion.
Engage City Church meets at from 10am Sunday mornings for coffee and to catch up with the Sunday Meeting from 10.30-11.30am. We meet at 68 Longfellow Street, Norman Park.
What can I expect if I visit on Sunday?
When you arrive at the 'church' we meet at the first thing you'll probably notice is an 'Engage' sign on the street. Once parked you then head towards the main building where you'll likely find a friendly face to say hello and answer any questions you have. At the front entrance is also where you can check your kids in to Kid's Church. Most parents first head in and get a cuppa first before anything else.
If you've got young kids (prep - grade 5) you can sign them in for 'Kid's Church'. We've developed a good security system so you'll know your kids are safe and well cared for. If your kids are shy, they're welcome to attend the adult service with you, but most kids really enjoy our 'Kid's Church' program. There is also a creche for little ones during the service, but don't worry we're not at all fazed if your baby cries during the service, it'll be one of ours next week :)
Just before you enter the 'hall,' you'll be given a Notice Sheet and a yellow 'Connection Card.' Please fill out this yellow card as it is a simple way for us to get better acquainted and let you know about things happening in the life of the church. The one hour service usually begins with some upbeat music led by our music team (guitars, keyboards, vocalists), followed by a welcome and greeting. We have times of prayer, a bible reading and a talk which seeks to unpack and apply the Bible's message.
We then usually close in prayer and receiving the offering of the Engage members. Please don't feel that you have to contribute, you are our guest, however when the bucket is passed around please pop your completed yellow card in. After the final prayer we'd love for you to stay and join us for a cuppa or refreshments. It's the perfect time to us to get to know each other better, after all the Church exists to nurture our relationships with both God AND other people. God designed His Church to be a place where we can experience community and friendship, and we trust you will find genuine warmth and openness at Engage City Church.

What should I wear?
At Engage we're a relaxed, Aussie 'Church,' so come dressed casually... you know, like going to a 'Barbie' at your mates place.
What if I don't know much about God?
At Engage Church, we want to make your visit a good one - easy, straightforward, uncomplicated. We are intentionally 'user-friendly' for people, no matter what their background - you don't have to have church 'figured out' to walk through our door. In fact, many of our people were not regular church attenders before meeting Jesus at Engage, so you're in good company!

Engage City Church is a member church of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. We are excited about sharing the riches of our gospel heritage with today's generation. We are a Christian Church focused on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our community, our city and our world.
We exist to see people far from God engaged with Jesus and growing as followers of Him.
